Poem Artwork

i don't know you, but-
my soul suddenly
longed for your presence
however, i, am not going to
fast forward my days
just to reach the moment
of us being together
i am, we are,
gonna take both our times,
to live, be whole
to prepare for that
single precise time of our collision
when atoms split and collide
as we see each others spark
i can wait
but not now
i am not yet whole
i am still healing
forgive me if
i'm taking too long, hang on,
just a little bit more, love
we will be,
on the same phase,
the same page
you and i both know,
there will be,
an instant recognition
thunder will rage and
waterfalls mightier
in their outpour
though around us,
the world is serene
quiet as it continues its routine
but, until then,
let us
live our lives in passion
drive ourselves madly
as our hearts on our sleeves
dance and sing
go wild, play with passing wind
meeting you
would be momentous
but as of now,
let me first,
be whole.

Audrine your poem has poignancy. We are encouraged when we aspire to wholeness albeit realistically it is more a journey than a destination. The aspiration brings reward in itself. It is healthy to aspire, and takes us one step closer to wholeness.

Reads like something that a woman would say. The excerpt in black above reads like a man would write and gave me fond memories of so many miles doing just that.

Your poem says to wait while time is burning and those carefree days of just driving off into nowhere will soon be gone.

Ron

PS. Come to think of it, self driving cars are coming so fast that we won't know what hit us and why we gave up our freedom to, just the two of us, drive off into whatever we wanted to.

There is much wisdom expressed in this fine poem, Audrine. Love, peace, and best wishes to you,

Very seldom does anything good happen when you're on the rebound. That's when we're the most vulnerable, so take your time to heal and be whole.

You are very wise to take the time to heal before moving forward again. Heart are very resilient and have a way of re-opening when the right one comes along. It was a real pleasure to delve into your poetry this morning dear Audrine, have a blessed day, hugs xo

I followed your star once. Took a chance on love with about $165,000 in cash. Even with more income, I lost it all in less than 5 years. Reality is a cruel crusher of dreams. But with you, I might to it all again. Like you, I would also need to get whole again. Would, should, could, might, and maybe are the projectiles that shoot down dreams. But I sure love your attitude.
