As I open the door
To my disbelief
There you stood in someone else’s arm
Embraced and disoriented by the passion
Never looking my way

As the tears ran down my face
The sharpness of the spear sliced my insides
My heart ached like never before
I felt the eruption inside my body
Sending the pieces of my heart to the ground

As you finally turn my direction
I turned away without any exchange of words
Nothing but violent thoughts crossed my mind
The feeling of disgust quickly filled my inner soul
A new feeling has taken control

You are no longer the person I once loved
The memories of you and me quickly dissolving
Your voice, your touch, your kiss all empty
I take a quick glance at the cold casket
I kneeled beside it to lay your love to rest

Linda, I had this, but she was not just in his arms.

I just left, lost everything.

The rejection hurts.

This is very well done. And I can so relate that it has been of help.

Gripping! Two deaths here of love lost and physical death. This has the makings of a novel, made for TV movie, or silver screen. thanks for sharing this with us.

Wonderfully expressed. The cruel truth of unfaithful love...I hope this is more fiction, but I sense that its reality speaks of sullen truth. May the Light shine soft wonders upon you, and give you yet a Great Love.

"Death of Love" flows to the lake of decision.

I enjoyed the reading of "Death of Love". The closing stanza is a grand.

Never rest Your pen. You have the gifts and the tools to produce wonders.

Thank You for sharing Your poetical art.

It's a sad feelng to discover that what we believe so much in, doesn't truly believe in us. The sounds of a shattered heart echo through these lines. Though you bury, beware of ghosts

An acutely written, powerful and concise denouement of "good luvin gone bad" - and is explosive as the topic you address. A dark allegory and an emotional purge at the same time. Very well done, and pleased to meet you! Thank you for your visit to my page today. Keep up this excellent work as and when you can! Kate x

Terrific poem of a pain that can be too real, a pain other types of betrayal can cause too, and the need to move beyond it. Good work!
