There are times when silence Creeps slowly like an eremite Into the mazes of my heart Times when a bottle is solace And kindness can not be found In the sullen thoughts of men Or in the steeples of the holy morn Water drips down lonely drains Into abyssmal darkness And Me? I am lost to sad refrains Waiting... Ever patiently For break of day And the song of a sparrow To ease the ache of my restless heart
