" Oh Osiris , alive again; rejuvenated, there is nothing amiss where ever you go… You come with the day, you love the light and God comes to rest where you are.
The Dual doors of the other world are open for you; the doors of the Hidden Kingdom are broken down for you. The doormen rejoice at your coming "

Lord of the Afterlife, turn your ankh
and grant admission to those who are found worthy
weigh our hearts like a feather in the balance
and we pray that we are not found wanting
hail to Osiris, Lord of Creation,
you bloom like the tamarisk tree
and flood the Nile, with life giving waters
flowing from the upper reaches of Heaven
your Queen and Consort, Isis the Goddess
symbol of fertility and motherhood
has gathered your dismembered parts
and made you whole and complete again
as Ra's sun rays settle over the pyramids
where Pharaoh lies entombed and embalmed
and Anubis our guide,
leads us through the Underworld
as we pass from Darkness to Light
we give praise to Horus, your faithful son
who vanquished the evil designs of Set
and who showed mercy, to even his enemies
as a glowing example of how to reign
the Rosetta Stone, our key to hieroglyphics
deciphered the mysteries of Egypt
that great civilisation, that educated man
by symbols , tokens and allegories
and the sacred geometry of Euclid
that underpins the seven wonders of the world
all seekers of the Light , knock on your door
knowing there are no monopolies of the Truth

These words are assigned to Osiris, which would indicate he is one tremendously powerful entity. I'm not too sure about the nature of his words though, since almost nothing is what it seems to be in this world. Referring to his last sentence one would be inclined to think that gods too go through some kind of transition. Looking at the conduct of most of the gods as expressed by Greek and Roman myths that would perhaps not be a bad thing. There are still many matters to explore. This poem gave me something to ponder about. Thank you for creating and sharing. Take care,
