Another Day Another Cause

After a hot shower
And a warm breakfast
Of Mexican Chorizo with
Costa Rican Grapefruit
And Columbian coffee
They left their
Ikea furnished
Heated dwellings
Dressed in a variety of
Asian Polyester blends
And Philippine-made
Synthetic sneakers

They loaded up their
Aging gas-burning
Fume-spewing
Foreign Vehicles with
picket signs made of
durable Japanese Luan
Bearing messages painted with
Bright Chinese acrylics
And attached to stakes
of chemically-treated
Virgin Canadian pine
with German-steel staples

Sipping plastic bottles
Filled with French H2O
They arrived at the scene
To protest against
U.S. Oil Interests,
The Bad U.S.,
The Very Naughty U.S.
And The Extremely Evil U.S.

(cue suspenseful music)

But in plain sight of
unsuspecting onlookers
they would discuss
their real mission
Speaking quietly with
minimum lip movement
using special pig-latin codes

(build musical suspense)
They organized and scheduled
Their next event …

...To make public…
The dark and devious conspiracy
behind the manufacture of…

(music reaches crescendo)

…Green Gumballs…

….Oh, the horror!...

(music fin)

But that's another story

:)

LOL. Very nice, Edwin. A tree may be hard to find, but rest assured, you'll find the paper remains of one stapled somewhere with a cause plastered on it.

To all...I have no problem whatsoever with 'Liberals' in the truest sense...My beef is with Socialist ideologies which threaten democracy. There is a big difference...Unfortunately, many Dems. have adopted and adhered to some of those ideologies.

Hmmm.. you don't much care for we liberals, do you, Edwin? BUT... say what you will, I am helplessly and happily drawn to fresh and fabulous wit and hilarity and this is the real stuff! (grin)

** ... all except, perhaps, the reference to China... we leave that to the truly evil management at Wal-Mart. Byeeeeeeee katy xox.

Thanks for sharing the humor Edwin; albeit there is a message that you are sharing too. Love and peace. Regis

haha this is excellent, i often look back on the futility of protests of my generation and at times, the outright cruelty of some of them ie vietnam protests...they are often directed at the wrong people anyway

I found this one to be very interesting and somewhat like the causes a few are attached to. Interesting questions that are asked here.
