Just an idea...

The Cowboy and the Lady

By: Fee

The lady sat quietly all alone at a table

Wearing her virgin white linen and lace

She was seemingly lost in her own world

Hiding behind a Mona Lisa face

On a barstool this cowboy secretly eyed her

In the smoky, voyeur bar-mirror of glass

What possessed her to ever come in here

This lady who exuded such an aura of class

I watched as she swayed in time to the music

And sipped on her glass of burgundy red

Then before long our eyes met in the reflection

So demurely smiling, she nodded her head

Well bravely I walked over and sat down

I ordered two more drinks before last call

I found the nerve to ask her to slow dance

Then holding her hand I felt ten feet tall

Her velvet soft skin was Malibu beach brown

I touched her hair like silk woven gold

Her blue eyes twinkled mischievously at me

While her breasts were a treat yet to unfold

We danced together like no one was watching

At the end she brushed her sweet lips on mine

I knew I’d fallen under her magic by closing

I gulped my beer as she finished her wine

Now I’ll not go into the night’s fine details

For a gentleman kiss and tell should not do

But let’s just say that lady was all of that

and this cowboy was broke to her saddle it’s true

Stories of cowboys, cowgirls, dancing, and bara have been in our culture for centuries, Fee, and they never grow old. They truly never grow old. Fabulous writing, my friend. My hat's off to you.
