There are so many levels of word meanings trapped in spaces where we can't always decipher them that is what this is about...

The Haze Between the Lines

By: Fee

Caught between lines in shades of developing gray

Linger like shadows trapped between night and day

The poets must dream and the singers must sing

Answers lost somewhere in the space in between

Don’t ask me no questions and I’ll tell you no lies

Seek not your answers in the words of the wise

Soon the devils will laugh and the Angels will weep

The interior demons awaken to torment you in sleep

Hollow words echo between lines of developing gray

The heart renders due payment we can’t always pay…

Good Morning Fee :),
I Love The Poem! It's Pragmnatic!
The Heart Can Definetly Be Pragmatic In Many Ways I Suppose
sometimes we just don't like the actual price we have to pay
but there is always a price...
the lavish splendors are the sweetest price to pay

Reading between the lines is an art of a good eye and mind. How true your words are and the thoughts that come to mind. Sometimes more is left unsaid than said...

Be always safe,
Karen

beautifully ethereal dreamed.scape. .. unfortunately, [and maybe thats a sign against me?] i think some of the best work is produced when sporadically possessed [by something]. . .. there is always beauty in the breaking to be found.

I suppose you're right, Fee, but sad as it may be, some
like Dylan, F. Scott, Falkner, to name just a few, somehow
do their stuff in the haze. Or did I miss something? -gene.

Fee,

"... The Poets must dream and the singers must sing ..." WOW. We may not come up with the answers, but it's fun, trying - well done!
