Just think these group of devoted characters don't get enough credit so this is dedicated to the Sandmen...

The Sandmen’s Meeting Hall

By: Fee

Inside the inner circle of the Sandman’s Meeting Hall

They whisper in hushed voices as the evening shadows fall

Assignments are passed out enough for one and all

Another night of drowsy magic at the Sandman’s Meeting Hall

Fairy dust is given out as each Sandman leaves the place

The Sandmen have their deadlines and so much energy to erase

To put little boys and girls to sleep with a such a lovely dream

So all their worries are forgot and gone without a trace

They plant a dream about a bicycle in little Johnnie’s head

The sandman visiting Michelle leaves a dolly dream instead

One visits grandpa to bring a night memory of his departed wife

Dad’s money worries disappear as he and Mom snuggle up in bed

Then when the last time Zone is covered, the Sandmen call it a night

Now its home to sleep all day hidden from the light

In beds in a darkened room at the Sandman’s Meeting Hall

Where they’ll rest until the evening when again they’ll spread delight…

A delightful sharing, Fee. Your "sandmen" are very different from the "sandman" in a short story that I have posted here at AD entitled, "The Sandman." Thank you. Love and peace to you,

Regis

Gorgeous, Fee, comforting to read. :) Question, though, is the Sandman responsible for nightmares? Just wondering ... well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
