If You Need Time To Think About It (Song)
By: Fee
I’ve folded up all those legal papers
That spelt the end of you and me
I closed out all of our joint savings
You know girl nothing comes for free
Now you told me you needed time to think
Guess what? I thought it out, we’re through
You see if you need time to think about love
It’s time to take the “me” out of me and you
I need to go fill in those little cards
Informing all I’m changing my address
But just what I’m going to write on them
Right now is really anybody’s guess
No, I won’t waste my precious tears
While you have fun playing musical beds
You know I don’t like silly mind games
They just screw-up people’s heads
But sometimes when I think about you
I’ll look back and thank you babe it’s true
As I grin and willingly buy another round
For tonight’s sexy replacement of you…

So sad but true, couples break up every day! Fee, you should go into writing country songs. I was raised listening to country music and still love it. You put yourself in anothers shoes well in this one, my friend.
Many blessings,
~Linda

"If You Need Time To Think About It..." it's already too late, I think. Sad: my parents were married for 39 years when Mom died. Daddy remarried 6 years later, he and his second wife were married 12 years when HE died.
My brother (Happy Birthday, Kenny) and his first wife were married 25 years when his wife passed away. He's been married to his second wife for a couple of years - and they're still in love.
That's what I most admire about them: they honored the wedding vows, 'til death did them part. Too many divorces going on ... and I'm in the ranks. Was married 2 1/2 years when my husband divorced me ... haven't dated much since. Not that I don't miss him (at times, I do), it's just that I feel like I'd be cheating on the memory of what we first had ... you know?
That has nothing to do at all with your poem ... sorry, your words got me to thinking. You poem is heartbreaking, because of how it is nowadays ... well done, my (((friend))).
Hey, saw that Jimmie won yesterday's race. :) 'Least my man did better this time 'round - 8th place, instead of near last, like the last race. LOL
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

My grandpa once say to me that "when you broke a glass don't look too long at the spilled drink boy! go get another glass"
