My four year old granddaughter found my wig and beard from old Santa suit...

I Want to Be Like Poppy

 

I want to be like Poppy, when I grow up someday

I want to make the kiddies happy and drive a big old sleigh

 

I want to wear that red suit Poppy wears and yell out ho ho ho

I want to be like Poppy I just thought you all should know

 

I want to sit in that big chair out their at the shopping mall

Making all the little children happy and feeling ten feet tall

 

I want to go to the North Pole to see my elves working away

I’d be able to try out all the toys oh wouldn’t a happy day

 

I want to be like Poppy cause I love him my Poppy so

Yes, I want to be like Poppy he’s my private Santa don’t you know

Oh my goodness, that photograph is a definite keeper, a treasure to bring back smiles over and over. What a delightful, splendid piece and who knows, perhaps one day she WILL follow in Poppy's footsteps. What a wonderful outlook on life...
