Just a few of my own thoughts on spirituality and living...

Poem Artwork

The Price

By: Fee

Yes, I’ve no doubt some may say that I’m a sinner

That my soul isn’t washed and free from sin

I’ve done some things in life that I’m not proud of

And my list of mistakes I don’t know where to begin

In my youth I guess I sowed my share of wild oats

Booze and drugs too often took the place of prayer

I didn’t take the time to listen to my dear mother

Then all of a sudden my dear mother wasn’t there

Yes I made vows before my family friends and Jesus

Sadly they were vows that I just couldn’t keep

I strayed away to walk with my friends the sinners

Where the price of sin didn’t seem so very steep

Then I saw the light but I didn’t see the steeple

I found God in the way I lived each and every day

To do my best and try to help those less fortunate

That I think is how I now prefer to pray

I think all of us have done things we are not proud of but as we get older we change. Maturity brings with it common sense . Great write Fee.

Wonderful write partner!

God knows our hearts.

Man trys to judge but God is all powerful.

God is our judge and our provider.

This is a Paean. A very beautiful one. I think when we open our hearts to God, He opens His heart to us. It does not mean we never sin nor make mistakes but the new path with Him is always better because He picks up and dusts us off and places us right where we can keep on moving like a real father will do to a child who falls and turns to Him for a helping hand. You have touched my heart with this one Fee :) Love it.

I see God everywhere in everyone. Some folks, however, are clearly trying to serve two Masters.

Love this poem,

"I saw the light but I didn’t see the steeple" -- Perfectly said, Fee, and your mode of prayer is so much more honorable than those who avoided that homeless man on their way inside to "pray" -- well done!!!

This is one of the things that I love and respect about you Fee...the honesty. You always say, "I'm not a believer" or you seem to slide around the "God" subject...and that's ok...the thing is not that we use the God and Jesus words...because like you say, the bottom line is what is in our heart...God (even if you don't use His name these days) is still listening to your heart and you can't hide it... So..being the kind, thoughtful and beautiful human being that you are...well, I know God loves you mate....call it anyway you want... hugs, lindalaw

I wish, sometimes, that I could be as good as you sound, Fee...I keep feeling that I would be contradicting so many years of disbelief & God knows how I have been and I wouldn't blame him if he just didn't care for me...you hit a chord with this write, sir, thank you...Ed

Oh Fee we all come short of the Glory of God...all those things your mother taught you are there...Santa Fee is the best example. You beautiful loving writes are the other. God's had you in his arms the whole time...your spirit is what God loves as we do. Love and hugs, Bonnie

Fee, only those that have walked on those roads you did would know the scope of your words. Because reality sometimes is more weird that any corkscrew twisted fantasy.
Deep, raw but the sincerity of one patiently waiting at Peter's door.
