‘Twas Five Months Before Christmas

By: Santa Fee

T'was still a good five months before Christmas

Relaxing on such a warm summer’s day

Santa Fee was having his annual yard sale

To make more room in his Christmas sleigh

There were dishes and pictures and even some toys

Santa sat in a lawn chair sipping a cold Northern beer

His little granddaughter, who was the light of his life,

Rooted through boxes to see what treasures were there

Santa chatted merrily about the holiday season to come

With his favourite elves listening and sitting close bye

He never even noticed what little JLee had found

Nor the sudden mischievous little twinkle in her eye

Then up on the front porch their arose such a clatter

Santa Fee jumped up in alarm to see what was the matter

With his finger to his nose and his hand to his big belly

Santa laughed so hard it shook like a bowl full of jelly

“Now Ho, Ho, Ho, oh my, my…what have we here?”

“Well oh my goodness gracious is that Jlee that I see?”

Santa looked once, then he looked again

For before him was a mini version of old Santa Fee

She wore a flowing white beard, an old cap of red

In an old Santa jacket that fell down past her knee

And a black belt round her waist at least three times or so

Santa knew in a flash that it was Poppy’s girl Jaimie Lee

So he hugged her and kissed her and called her by name

So delighted he was of his own little mini-me

She asked if this Christmas if she could ride on his sleigh

Santa Fee hugged her tighter and said I’d be delighted little Santa JLee…

This is so cute Fee. It reminds of things we did when I lived in the Upper Peninsula with Grandma Dolly. We had fun a lot like this. Thank you for letting me remember.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and who love you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie.

Never too early for a poetic Christmas Tale such as this, Santa Fee!!
Now, remember the promise you made to JLee...for certain she will :o)

And a happy ending of summer (not too soon) to you!
