I wrote this poem while thinking over my birth date. Ironically, I was born on the 1st day of April. People call it April Fool's Day. What do you say?

I know am not a fool,
Though born on a fool's day
But, I do foolish things
with my pen sometimes.
I weave wise words,
I stoke a fire,
I also spark a light...
Often, I write stupid things
that folks say are meaningful,
deep down, I know
am not a fool,
though my first tear drops
streamed down my face
on a fool's day.
I know am not a fool
yet, I think foolish things sometimes...
a world devoid of ism
a world free from poverty
a universe empty of deceits
a world without power mongers
I know, indeed am not a fool,
am a wise man
that shout against inertia.
You are the farthest thing from a fool.
Alas, the world as we know it is a haven for
fools. Hugs them to its breast before they
sink their fangs. Bravo, my friend. Bravo!!
