James David says he's out of here
I say he needn't flee.
I'd never mention periods
To men- there is no need.

Full stops are different matters though
I use them to denote
A sentence has been ended;
Extra words have missed the boat.

I use them to abbreviate
Peculiar terms - e.g.
Comp. but never Mr
Last letter's there, you see.

Full stops denote a statement,
(New line and no return)
But have you seen elipses?
Full stops at every turn!

When using Dragon Dictate
(My hands from work are shot)
I use the Aussie version-
'cause it accepts "Full Stop"!
