We Mourned

(From the thoughts of a ten year old)

I didn’t go to school that day in November 1963
My head hurt and I felt something was going to happen
Mom and I were just going to take my baby sister out for a walk
It was an unusually cool sunny day so heavy coats we didn’t need
Mom wanted to get the baby a nice warm hat while I watched TV
No color on those new black and white televisions, not needed
What I saw then was very clear
It would be embedded in my memories cells forever
They replayed the scenes over and over and over
President Kennedy’s topless car was just turning the corner slowly
That day in Dallas, Texas
I heard a pop and watched as Mr. Presidents head whipped back
Then another pop and I watched his head snap forward
Jackie was climbing on the trunk of the car to reach for a part
of Mr. President’s head
She whisked it fast and took Mr. President in her arms
I knew he was gone; it was all there in black and white
This was repeated over and over and over
My Mom watched the repeats and I mentioned that I thought the
President had been assassinated by men from our government
She told me that I was nuts that I didn’t know what I was talking about
I knew he was snuffed out because he knew too much,
Just like Marilyn Monroe had been silenced
It had been planned for some time,
And Mr. President knew it…He was prepared

JFK made crucial 'mistakes' that cost him dearly. He wanted to end the Vietnam war while Mr. X told DA Jim Garrison "The organizing principle of any society is for war.", a stunning conclusion in the movie JFK. He wanted to bring the CIA under regular army control, which delivered him the most dangerous enemies this world contains. And he wanted to re-organize the Federal Reserve Bank, which would interfere with concealed fund flows and laundering. JFK's coffin was marked with the symbol of the order that issued his assassination: The crucifix of the Jesuit order (with skull and bones beneath Jesus' feet - the order founder Ignatio de Loyola's favorite sign). The saddest thing of all was probably that JFK's brother Bobby Kennedy knew of the impending assassination before it took place. Perhaps as a tribute to his older brother he later wanted to re-implement some elements of his policy, which ultimately led to his execution. The entire investigation of the Warren committee was a cover up, a charade that pales human dignity and integrety. The successors to the assassination of JFK are still in the same business. But people are too occupied with trivia, treacherous media rubble and material things to understand what is going on. Until it will be too late to do something about it.

I was four years old when this event took place, and I still remember grandma and mom and daddy crying and Karla asking: "WHY?" Powerful poem; very well done!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(
