I have never seen a kangaroo, but this may be how it happened, if I did.

The Roo That Crossed The Road

by Barbara Lynn Terry

I sat in my car, just

watching the herd of cows

grazing lazily in the field,

when all of a sudden, and

right out of nowhere, a roo

bounded onto the road.

It forged ahead, just a bit,

when it stopped, and looked

at me.

I sat very still, and after

a few moments, it bounded
across the road, and in to the

trees.

So…why did the roo cross the road, Billy?

Why, to get to the other side, silly.

You haven't been in the land of Oz long enough to see a roo, but just look for sign of the marsupial in the outback where Mick Dundee kicked dirt loose for the perentie lizard...watch for the brumbies, blow the didgeridoo and have a vegemine sandwich...Barbie, you and Nicole be well in Australia...should be the wet season coming on...days of rain and thunder...Blessed Be.

Warmly,
Sage

This is cute, Barbara. I have never seen a roo, up close and personal either, just an orange and white cat whose nickname is "red roo."

Take care,
Jill

Cute; the only roos I've seen were in the zoo. Or on tv or in books/mags.

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in America, Karen Lynn in Texas. :D

The Wholly Book of Genesis by Jay Dubya

The Wholly Book of Genesis is a humorous satire on the first book of the Old Testament where the Story of Creation, the building of Noah's Ark, Sodom and Gomorrah and the families of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are thoroughly spoofed and broadsided.
