Mary,
There really is "No place like home". I was born and grew up in Virginia and even though, I find beauty in all the places on Earth which God has created, no matter how far I roam, Virginia always pulls at my heart strings. I know Vermont will always pull at yours.

Reminds me of my northwood, and I don't think I could ever leave it. My mother and brother moved to Florida, but I need my four seasons!

I've never been to Vermont but after reading this, I'm tempted to visit. I've visited a number of places in the States that took my breath away but this sounds really special. It's no wonder you miss it. Thanks for sharing such enticing poetry.
