I hand wrote a book of poems about Vermont for my mother in 1992. This is one of the poems.

I'm going home to the mountains of green where every thing is so serene.

I'm going home to the valley's low, where I can be with those I know.

I'm going home to where I can rest and be with those that I love best.

I'm going home to the country roads, traveling paths that I know.

The sun will shine on the blue lake's shore and i'll be home for ever more.
