Poem Artwork

the saga continues
the following is
Sung to the tune of jailhouse rock

Ole Gumby played his yuke in the county jail
The prison gang was there looking at his tail
The boys began shoving, as his hula skirt began to swing
You should’ve heard those cooped up jail birds sing

Gumby rock Gumby rock
All cartoons in the whole cell block
Were drinking good ole Rolling Rock

Spiderman played his web till is was all foam
Little John’s arrows were really hittin home
The little drummer boy pounded out a great big bang
The whole cartoon section swayed and sang

Gumby rock Gumby rock
All cartoons in the whole cell block
Were drinking good ole Rolling Rock

Baby Hewey said to little Gumby
You’re the greenest jailbird I ever did see
I sure am enchanted with my little gumby
Come on and drink a rolling rock with me

Gumby rock Gumby rock
All cartoons in the whole cell block
Were drinking good ole Rolling Rock

The blockheads stood as if they are stone
Watching the jamming all alone.
The warden said hey your heads are really square
If your thinking of hurting gumby – don’t even dare

Gumby rock Gumby rock
All cartoons in the whole cell block
Were drinking good ole Rolling Rock

Daffy duck said to Bugs—“ the carrot I’ll take
If you don’t help me make a break”
Bugs turned to daffy and said no way
I wanna hang out till I get my way

Gumby rock Gumby rock
All cartoons in the whole cell block
Were drinking good ole Rolling Rock

All cartoons in the whole cell block
Were drinking good ole Rolling Rock
