Authors Note:  Antler harvesting is not a cruel practice. But it does cause the reindeer to be off-balance short-term.  Antler harvesting is similar to humans being momentarily thrown off course, unable to navigate their onward movement because of physical and emotional tilt. The antler cycle begins anew each spring when they reach the velvet stage.  In May, June, and July, the antler farmers cut the antlers with a meat saw after the reindeer are given an anesthetic.  They are back in the pastures within fifteen minutes.  It can be this simple for humans! When your runners are temporarily "dulled," let the spiritual horn branches of the reindeer guide you through the seasons with new sharp-blade visions.
