Around her well, are hazel nut trees, whose magic nuts I drop into her well to cause bubbles of inspiration. A supernatural salmon in her well eats her hazel nuts, thereby becoming the Salmon of Wisdom (eo fis). A crossover, incorporating her well into the Roman bath hot mineral springs where archaeologists have found hundreds of curse tablets, leaden coins, textual evidence that visitors invoked ritual in calling down the Goddess Sulis-Minerva.

Talking ponds from Bath to my Sweetwater pools in Bali, slate down to the sea, visited by a sea eagle every morning - Sulis Minerva - Eye of Spring - fertility - women left their bronze breast plates there in Bath as an offering after they had weaned their babes -the women at the Bali pools would just leave, after weaning their babes - but that's another story! :D Nicky x

unusual it is intense and yet so serene at the same time, like the wisdom and passion taken from the earth. ingenious!
Sage is the right name for you. You have woven an ancient ritual into a modern poem. Being of Irish background, I love things that speak of the old wisdom and rituals. Glad I stopped by today. Great Job, My Friend!
Living where I do, I can appreciate the full force of the crossovers of all these passions - for good and in opposition; for healing and giving, or for personal accruement of power at all costs; to build up or to destroy. Where the Earth displays "supernatural" strength and benevolence, you can be sure that there are human minds at work to attempt to procure that "power" for their own benefit and in pursuit of their own ends and gain. Wisdom is wonderful if sought in order to benefit others and to share... if it is sought in order to get ahead in the pursuit of personal gain and power, then destruction follows. I have no idea why I am talking like this - except that I am very sensitive to the fine balance between these two extremes and straddle a fault line that divides them, I think... these four lines are a total geyser, as far as I am concerned, Sage!! :)) TY and Be Blessed Be K xx

This has a real ancient quality that gives a distinct image. I have to admit that I wonder if the effect of the poem would've been even more powerful (although it is powerful already) without the intro, which was written so well, it almost seemed another poem. I probably have no clue what I am talking about, so just ignore me, lol!
You have drank full draught from the Well of Hermes Sage, and you pass on your esoteric knowledge and wisdom for us of the Profane World !
