AWFUL TIMES

Terrible news around

our life seems to change forever

my hands tremble while writing prose or verses

my heart converted in a butterfly wants some rest

However, I will not sleep while bombs and missils fall around

killing babies and taking them not softly like petals from a flower

Beautiful poem with a great structure and progression of thoughts. I was surprised to read "killing babies" which is something final, followed by "taking them not softly like petals from a flower" which an unusual idea, as they are now dead. Interesting writing.
