It has been weeks since my good friend passed away. I still feel the void. It is a great loss. Best friends do not come by every single day. I miss you my buddy, my friend, my mentor!

The Loss One day you were smiling and the next day you up gone away. I knew I would miss you but after weeks there is still a void today. Like a good movie, I want to play back the good times we shared. You were like family and I want to show you how much we cared. I want to ask you things and spend more quality time, just like before. We had fun, I learned so much but I want to learn just a little bit more. For you were my spiritual mentor and in the end you got it so right. You finished strong and you showed others His guiding light. We had a great friendship, but for now I will have wait in line. So my friend I hope to see you on the other side. Someday… Someway… Somehow… In God’s perfect time. Amen

Very nice tribute, John. "A strand of three cords is not quickly broken." Keep the memories. Cherish the bond. Look for reunion. The picture is so beautiful; it draws the viewer upward, seeming to promise, "somewhere, up there."
God did not tell us not to grieve; He only said we should not grieve as those who have no hope.
