I did not make this stuff up

What I am about to say

Christmas is for shopping, right?

It's just another holiday!

God gave us this life that we live

We know not from where we came

But we buy everything we need in a store

So I guess we have ourselves to blame

So run to the stores and get those toys

Do what you can to get the best games and stuff

The kids will enjoy them for a few days

Then they will want more because it's really never enough!

 So what am I suggesting?

Who am I to think that things are just not right?

Am I just a grown-up kid who has finally seen the light?

Just go outside and look up and ponder at the evening sky

Think about who made it all and just watch the world go by

Christmas is a special time when we need to stop, think and pray

Forget about all the store bought gifts; we are a gift from God today

Yes, life is a precious gift and we need to look up to our spiritual Dad

In Jeremiah 10:3-5, we read the following, "For the customs of the people are vain: for it is but a tree which one cutteth out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not, ... neither ... is it in them to do good."
