A heartfelt "Thank You" to George Caroll on the Den for prompting me to write this poem. My father-in-law used to have a saying when he was on vacation in a log cabin, "I going to do NOTHING and when I am finished I think I will do more of NOTHING." That's what we all need to do more of - "NOTHING!"

I'm going to try to do "NOTHING" although it's not an easy task You see I have a cell phone that calls me - although I did not ask! I'm going to try to do "NOTHING" for all the world to see But I have these things calling me - it's called my radio and my T.V. I'm going to try to do "NOTHING" and see if I can relax and not even think But my loved one told me things need a fixin -including the kitchen sink I'm going to try to do "NOTHING" - I know that it's not that easy today For the "Art of doing just NOTHING" is quickly fading away... I think your papa-in-law was influenced by an old Bert Williams song:

I ain't never done nothin' to nobody, I ain't never got nothin' from nobody, no time! And until I get somethin' from somebody, sometime, I don't intend to do nothin' for nobody, no time!
