True story about another day in Paradise.

Poem Artwork

I am going on the road again, playing the radio without a care...

All of a sudden someone cuts me off and slows down, "How dare *#.!*!"

Then the light turns red, the car in front just speeds up and back smoke fills my eyes.

I jam on the breaks and the lady in back of me hits my bumper; should I be surprised?

She gets out of her truck and says a few choice words and inspects her front lights.

I stayed in my car because I was not worried about my old bumper or who was wrong or right.

I was just glad it was just a tap on the rear of my old automobile.

It's happened before, that's why we have bumpers, so let's get real.

So we continued on until we arrived to the next red light.

This time she pulled up next to my car and screeched; what a terrible sight!

So I rolled my window down and gave her an earful about the meaning of the word "Tailgate!"

She was convience she was still driving right; her eyes were all filled with hate!

I turned down the block, I finally "arrived alive" to my final destination

I love Florida, but driving here is no fun in the sun. It's frustration!

Amen...

After only six weeks in Florida, I have to agree. This state must have the worst drivers in the world.

If people would re-read their drivers instruction book that they had to read to take their tests maybe so much of this wouldn't happen. I'm glad you're O.K..

Love ya!

See? This is why I do not bemoan not being able to drive... I tell you I would have road rage and my kids would NEVER let me live it down..LOL

It's like that everywhere. People are in too big a hurry. They are impatient and difficult. And did I mention careless? Watch out John.

Driving anywhere these days is a nightmare. We've sadly lost so many things now, including the ability to drive safely and courteously - almost every driver I see out and about now is either in an extreme hurry or is texting or talking on their cell phone will driving. It's very scary out there today.
