This poem is in response to Mr. Ed's recent poem that is asking all to consider taking a stray pet home to make a positive difference in a cold and sometimes very cruel world.
Our once stray pets now give us so much joy.
They make the best presents for every girl and boy.
All they ask for is a little loving care.
What they give in return is priceless.
You cannot buy a computer game to top them, no place... no where!!!

Thanks for the smile, John. What can you give a young dog whose goal in life is to tear things apart with gusto? She'll get another rawhide bone in her stocking, I guess. Oh, that's right, she doesn't have a stocking!
