He’s imperfect, with as many cracks and faults as the liberty bell
He has a big belly pouch with a profile like a bump on a log
He’s messy and sometimes looks like an unkept shaggy dog
He can be grouchy, fussy and grumpy at the start of the day
He can be thoughtless, forgetful and impolite in many ways
He can be stubborn, self-centered and can eat like a fatted calf
He can be indifferent, relentless and loud with his funky laugh
His biggest fault of all is he thinks he can fix things all by himself, alone
That’s when he messes things up and finally calls for help on the phone
But he has a good heart; he means well and has good intentions you see
He’s one of a kind; God made him in His image, just like everyone else…
This work in progress, truly impossible person is Me.

Love ya!

As we age and start to notice this stuff about us, it's a wonder to behold why the women in our lives seem to love us more and put up with all that we represent. Go figure…
