Have we forgotten the thorns? the first ones used trying to take dignity from a beaten man?
The thorns didn't chose to be, but they were and we always se the face and curse the thorns, but, as God creation, they were put in the cross too, as the crown which no one of us deserve to wear.
Thorns got a very raw deal,
after been used as
a ridicule crown
on an flagellated man
all started hating
the humble thorns;
yet,
thorns were the only ones
left after playing dices
for all the clothes belonging
to Lord Jesus on the cross…
then…
when you receive in your finger
a stab from any thorn,
remember its raw deal,
and bless the Lord.
truth be told ive rarely given any thought to the crown of thorns.
thats a very interesting idea.
if you think along lines of if we, as humankind, do not speak out about god then even the rocks will cry out because god is not a secret to be kept... and if you think along the lines that all creation points to the creator then...
jesus made thorns famous.
i guess it is fitting for a "king" to have a "crown"
such mockery and scorn. 'father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing' echoes echoes echoes through the ages.
thorn in your finger is a whole lot less of a striking image. it has almost no comparrison to the crown of thorns and yet... this is a very cute and effective way of illustrating the way God can be in every encounter.
Thought provoking excellence. Reminds me of something I saw the other day, remember we are the ones who put Him on the cross, who drove the nails into His wrists and feet. Well done.
