For those little dogs out there, (cats exempted, they have the knack of disappear when danger is near), be advices that life is not what daily appears.
After sunny days of love...here comes the storm!

Poem Artwork

I don’t see your mutt running to greet
after you had a bad day on your job,
and a ride from hell on the highway
because of schmucks that cut in front.

A cold beer on arrival, without no shoes,
with wife and kids going on mute mode,
rest and peace is the primary wishing,
not a visit from your mother’n-law.

Being so clever, yes, all of them are,
he anticipates, your beloved dog,
that you gonna hit the mother ceiling
after coming through that door.

So, he respectfully makes his retreat
because here will be flying a few shoes,
no way to get a smiling for a wagging,
better to be scarce, life ain’t that long.

Run little dog…run,
and for heaven sake, duck!!!

Oh what an adorable puppy, drenched in food heaven. May he run and duck with a full belly and wrap up in a nice warm blanket. Me I enjoy all my pets, each with their own personalities, just enhance each new day....

No matter how bad a day I have, all my mutts rush to the door to greet me. I'll admit though that I do throw my shoes if my wife doesn't also rush to the door, with an ice-cold beer for me!

Oh Georg you wrote this from the frolic of your pen, and the photo is so cute! My dog looked like him when he was young, a golden retriever who became my friend for 14 years...not that naughty though.
