666th poem!!!
Here yore truly EDvard, Ole Brother.
Fore yore bunch of grammatical nagging nuts jump me throat, ain't no "I and the Reaper" or The Reaper and I" or any twist in the tail yore snobbish boys'n girls want to trash me with!!!
Now, if yah learned how to read...

Poem Artwork

Old geezers are this world most valued treasures
walked through crossroads that confused the naïve
with one goal in life, to survive for the longest
period of time and bargain for every life’s reprieve.

Our enemy is that dumb skinny dude with the scythe,
scaring off the good people that wouldn’t believe
that time is here for them to kick their sorry bucked
even if they think to be so “special” and disbelieve.

Just for a show off and the best of kind of bragging,
I will blow smoke in his face, to the Reaper peeve,
cos if he thinking I gonna go without make a stink,
he ain’t worth a scythe nor that blade from the Swiss.

Now folks, this dude with the funny blade on a stick
likes you to sing, cos he’s a jolly good fellow theme,
a frustrated wannabe monk in drags transvestite
that cried a lot viewing that Sound of the Music film.

I will live longer that this pile of bones will like,
Angel of Death my ass, dumber than a two dollar bill,
con him to take my bookies instead of yours truly,
he’s only a potato head schmuck with a license to kill.

by EDvard, Ole Brother

why does everyone think the Reaper is a male dressed like that?
oh fine then...poke & prod him with merciless time capsules
& offer him a cocktail or two while you goose him with those persimmons of resistance...Vickie :)

Give him a swift kick and send him on his way, too much living yet to accomplish, now get down to business and celebrate...

Be always safe,

Georg - Dylan Thomas would be proud. Not only do you " ... not go gentle into that good night." , but you go laughing at "...this dude with the funny blade on a stick." - David

Georg,

Congratulations on 666. Now, hurry off that number and may we see that many more from your talented pen! Can just picture you, giving Death a poke and a prod with your cane, refusing to go peaceful - a soldier to the end, eh, Marine? Name, rank and serial number, that's it. =] LOL! Well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
