A bit of frivolity just to let people know I have not been abducted by aliens. It's about the weird lives people live ...

I was gifted with a silver tongue,
excelled at verbal artifice,
spinning words into enchanted snares
that promised days of loving bliss.

But then one day, by chance I met a girl
with emerald eyes and golden hair
and I swore then that I would win the heart
of this beauty fine and rare.

Through all the ages I spent in wooing her
words were my most faithful friend,
but when she let me through her bedroom door
I felt my eloquence abscond

The spectacle of her naked beauty
so overwhelmed me with desire
the only sounds I could utter were
FAR CANAL FIRE.

(Think about it !)

You from Hackney, then?! :)) Eloquent indeed - what need for more words? Guess you must be the tall, dark and silent type. Gotta love Jude! Kate x
