She is Mother Sky, awakening slowly
With drowsy eyes beyond shy horizons,
Shedding night's cloak
And tucking it neatly behind veil of midnight.
She is morning's blessing.. its hymn of renewal.
She is creation's chameleon
Adorned in contented blues
And grays of disillusioned anger.
Her voice whispers upon gentle winds
But rumbles within gales of temper.
She is companion to sun and friend to moon,
Painter of pristine clouds
And protector of diamond's dust,
Moon time's treasure.
She is earth's watercolor blanket
And warmth of day,
A canvas of rainbows and sunsets.
And when her blue eyes close
She is coolness of night,
Mother Sky...
Creation's chameleon.
ah this is so serene...and I remember this...as with fine wine, this has only improved with age dear friend.

This makes me look at the sky in a totally different way. I like your insight and gorgeous imagery as well as the flow and sound of your words. Well done Myrna!
