Untainted
Of sky untainted
And breezes of autumn breath
I painted today
In words of azure, scented
By falling leaves, unhurried
I laid my pen upon parchment canvas and longed to capture a leaf, one brittle relic of summer caught within its moment, as much as I longed to soar across such purity of sky, such blue innocence. I wondered if my words, my colors, could truly speak of its beauty, for it was a rare day, a gift of perfection, to be remembered... untainted.
So much has been going on of late, that I am sadly way, way behind in reading and commenting on works.
This piece came as a delightful breath of fresh air. It is an outstanding use of the form, and with so much of your work, is vividly textured and full of color.
Have been to Louisiana in the spring and summer; never the fall; sounds like a beautiful time in the Bayou State! Very well penned/imaged, Myrna; brava!
