How big the flakes are
perhaps to mask
their impotence--
they smack against
the sidewalk
melt and bleed
into the pavement.
They cling to nascent buds
totems of their death.
But...this is something
we all know
when the snow first came--
it will end in rain.

A beautiful write, but I didnt see any snow this year, just rain rain and more rain.
