Watching Clouds

This does not rhyme but it is still poetic. I watched this from my car while waiting on my wife this morning. I will try to convey what I saw but I am not sure words will do it justice. However, here goes…..

Poem Artwork

I saw clouds from my car window while waiting in a parking lot.

I was wearing sun glasses so it added to the wonderful luster.

There were three layers of clouds floating in different directions.

As I gazed at them I realized that the lower level of clouds was moving from east to west.

The next level up was moving but it was hard to see which direction they were going.

Above them was a thick layer of clouds high above which were moving from west to east.

As I watched I began to realize that the clouds were all following the wind.

It was moving toward the west at the lowest level and from the opposite direction at the upper level.  Somewhere the wind was rising upward and taking the clouds with it.  Those in between were simply being confused by the wind which was drawing them upward for not moving them in any other direction.

The wind finally moved the clouds into a position where I saw a most beautiful sight.

The sun was shining through the three layers but it was filtered by the clouds

Thereby creating the appearance that caused it to look more like the moon.

As I watched I saw a break in the clouds and the sun and its brilliance became such that even with my sun glasses I could look no more.

However for about three minutes I saw a wonderful sculpture created by nature.

Nature, you understand is the work of God.

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!! Clouds are one of my favorites. Such beauty unfolds that you can't even describe from a picture; it doesn't do it justice on the wonderful pictures from God! Thank you Lew!

Clouds! I always think of them as candy-floss when I'm flying way up high looking down at them. While I'm up there, I thank God for His amazing artwork. Clouds are beautiful to behold, always changing, always moving. Like you, Lew, I love cloud-watching. So much beauty and magnificence in our world, I wonder why some people allow themselves to become depressed!

God Bless
Lena

That sounds so very beautiful! If only more people would take the time to notice God's handiwork. Thank you for sharing!

A lovely view of the clouds. When we take time to notice them, they are a never-ending parade of beauty and yes, a gift of God for us to enjoy.
