In the Clouds again

Today I took a drive to do some shopping and a visit to the doctor for blood work. The amazing thing about doing something is when you find that the beauty around you supersedes what you are doing. If you are following my poetry you know I seem to write about the clouds an awful lot. So this poem should be no surprise.

Poem Artwork

Oh dear me.  My head is in the clouds again.

They are not dark clouds… it does not look like rain.

The sky is a magnificent mixture of shades of blue

With clouds strewn all across it; what a beautiful view.

They have taken on such abstract designs

One cannot help but watch them flow where they may forming their own lines.

They can be the embodiment of anything your imagination wants them to be.

But most of all they are the personification of shapes flowing free.

The sun from where I see them shines from just behind a tree as the clouds flow by.

They change shapes and some seem to fly low while others are higher in the sky.

Oh what beauty in these wingless birds of air and moisture high in the blue.

What joy one can have if he simply takes time to pursue.

Pursue what?  You may ask.  My answer is, pursue the quest for their glory.

For each cloud makes up a part of the panorama and each has its story.

Stop what you are doing and ease your troubled mind.

Let your head relish in the clouds and see what you find.

They are a part of God’s glory… works of his hand.

They are so beautiful to watch as we look up from the land.

A beautiful and captivating write...the clouds are a wonderful muse, they appear so gentle and carefree and can suddenly turn dark and vicious...much like some people that we meet in life...I have known a few myself. Profound write my friend!
