Pounding Sand

During vacation with my wife I found myself doing what I love to do. I simply sat by the seashore and got lost in every wave that came; putting on a beautiful show for any who would take the time to enjoy.

Poem Artwork

Relentlessly approaching the shore of sand

The waves of the ocean roll in crushing upon the land.

The sand is moved out of the way as the waves come crushing in.

They are powered with the impact of waves that follow as well as the wind.

As the waves play, sing, dance and rush they seem to call

One into wondrous deliria of peaceful tranquility as each wave is heard to fall.

The wonder of the sea leaves one at a loss for words to describe its dancing and song.

It sings a ballad so non-ending; one that has lasted so long

None of us can say just how many years have passed since the song began.

Waves dancing with white capes in perfect rhythm landing upon sand.

Somehow when you are sitting there you find you do not care.

The song of the sea is so tranquil and you are caressed by the air.

The sea is a constant source of motion’ waves crushing on waves.

The sea knows no other way to be so it is in this way that it behaves.

Ah ... the sight, the sound, the smell, the feel and the taste of the ocean. One just cannot get enough. I'm glad you found serenity on your vacation, Lew.

Love & Light always and in all ways,

I have enjoyed the reading of "Pounding Sand" for its ponderings on Nature beauty and power. An inspiring sublime piece.
