The rain came pouring from the sky and splashed as it hit the ground.

It seemed that it was by the millions that the raindrops came down.

The water flowed freely down the road in a stream.

The sky was foggy and gray blocking the path of any bright warm sunbeam.

Eventually the deluge became nothing but a drizzle and then a mist and nothing more.

However, the skies remained dark and gray every bit as threatening as before.

The weather service predicted flashfloods for all of the area around,

Forecasting that much more rain would soon come pouring down.

So, we braced ourselves, as we diligently watched the storm

Hoping the sun would soon come shining bright and warm.

But, the sun did not come much to our distain.

The clouds blocked out its rays and once more came the rain.

It’s spring!
