My mother sent me this. I searched and couldn't find the author. It's too cute not to pass on to you.

Rate your GPS.

I have a little GPS
I've had it all my life
It's better than the normal ones
My GPS is my "wife"

It gives me full instructions
Especially how to drive
"It's thirty miles an hour", it says
"You're doing thirty five"

It tells me when to stop and start
And when to use the brake
And tells me that it's never ever
Safe to overtake

It tells me when a light is red
And when it goes to green
It seems to know instinctively
Just when to intervene

It lists the vehicles just in front
And all those to the rear
And taking this into account
It specifies my gear.

I'm sure no other driver
Has so helpful a device
For when we leave and lock the car
It still gives its advice

It fills me up with counseling
Each journey's pretty fraught
So why don't I exchange it
And get a quieter sort?

Ah well, you see, it cleans the house,
Makes sure I'm properly fed,
It washes all my shirts and things
And - keeps me warm in bed!

Despite all these advantages
And my tendency to scoff,
I do wish that once in a while
I could turn the darn thing off.

hahahahahahhahaha--whenever I see anything about a GPS I am reminded of the woman who drove her car into a swamp and had to be rescued because her GPS said to turn down a certain path and she did--also read of a couple who said their GPS device said to drive through a Church to get to their destination---so glad not all GPS's are the same :-)

A great piece of writing, Ronald. What would you do, indeed, without a wife. Whoopee

and I thought I was alone
I thought I had the best back seat driver in the world
God she tell me when to go, stop, slow down. be careful about a thousand time, and every thing that annoys even the "Pope"
Peace be with you

That's cute. Thanks for sharing. Mine's my daughter. Don't pull through parking spaces, stopped to close to car in front, first thing you do when you get in car is lock it (great advice for all - she emphasizes this with cousin, lock the car when you get out after closing door so you don't lock keys in car which only happened to me once ever in my life and she was little and I was at work but this is first car I ever had with remote to lock so I always push the button to close after I step out.

Great one Ron, I had one of these for 26 years and finally turned it off. The advantage warranty ran out...who knew right? I even tried to use my remote control, the darn batteries kept going dead. Okay, your next one ...My Remote Control.....lol

I had a similar GPS. She's gone now. As much as her chirpuing aggravated me while I drove, I would gladly exchange the silencer i have now with that chirping....
