Whew! I think I'm all clichéd out.

Man Between a Rock and a Hard Place by Ron AI

Cliché Crunch

When push comes to shove, and,

you're between a rock and a hard place.

When the going gets tough, and,

the tough just can't get in the race,

You'll be surprised what you'll do,

when you're down and out.

When you're on the street,

dumpster diving without doubt.

I was counting my chickens,

Before they had hatched.

Only to learn that the surface,

Hadn't even been scratched.

If you don't have a pot to piss in,

just go piss on the ground.

If you're in the doghouse,

it's better than the dog pound.

If your penny wise and pound foolish,

join the credit card gambling crowd.

Spend yourself into poverty,

then bitch about the dole loud.

Nothing's surer than death or taxes,

except for the privileged few.

They make billions without taxes,

but still die, leaving the debt to you.

"If you're in the dog house, it's better than the dog pound."

Think I'll have that made into a sampler and hung prominently in my house!

This is a zinger, Ron! You are doing AI also. Guess I better go learn what AI art is, looks pretty neat, and no copyright infringement or crediting needed. My favorite is Stanza #3. But the cadance and message is eye-opening, too. ~~ djl

Cynical, but reflects mindsets that try to make good of bad situations.
Keep on keeping on, Ron.

A rather clever rendition of all the cliches that we use on a daily basis, made more interesting again. Well done.
