Cinnamon Stix

'Twas the month before Christmas
and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring
but 1 little mouse.
The coffee was brewing with savory smells
while tinkling upstairs
he could hear Christmas bells.
The flavored coffees and pastries
were so hard to leave,
But if he missed the Christmas displays,
he would grieve.
The little mouse mounted the stairs,
Hop!     Hop!     Hop!
He knew this must be the Cinnamon Stix Shoppe!

So to the second floor he flew in a flash,
through 4 rooms of wonder, he made a mad dash!
For a wee little mouse,
'twould take a month or more
to view all the marvels in this Christmas store.
There were stockings and stars
and such shimmering glitter,
the joy of it all made his little feet skitter!
There were gifts of all kinds
to please each shopper's whims;
There were shiny new baubles and Victorian trims;
A wondrous aroma, Yankee Candles, he guessed
was so heady a fragrance, he sniffed with finesse.
Then whom to his wondering eyes did he see
but the one and only Elizabeth Clements Magee.
For Cinnamon Stix was Elizabeth's dream;
'Twas only right that she
should appear on the scene.
Every gift, every item, she had chosen with care
for her year-round Christmas Shoppe
on the 4th St. thoroughfare;
and the mouse heard her say
in a Merry Christmas voice,
"Come to Cinnamon Stix now,
and I know you'll rejoice!"
