It's Sixty-five Million Years This Fall

It’s sixty-five million years this fall,
And one species has conquered all.
Most successful has become,
With count of six billion and some.

With the increase in pop
Big species numbers drop.
Multiply it out and you’ll see,
Why these creatures cease to be.

Nice homes on plots of ground,
With a little killing all around,
Residual habitat going fast,
Food supply cannot last.

Think human pop, more to come,
Wow, twelve billion and some!
With species save one gone,
 Define success that dreadful dawn.

Nothing else matters ... as long as you have love. No, one can't live off of love but what good are "things" if you don't have anyone to share them with. What a concep here.
