This here ole’ Nick has a little trick
and I promise... I’m not up to, not a thing too quick

Poem Artwork

Ho! Ho! Ho!...My little Hot Tamale
come sit right here for some "Tis’ the season" jolly
(patting his lap)

This here ole’ Nick has a little trick
and I promise... I’m not up to, not a thing too quick
(as he twitches his nose)

But it does have a point,
and now your sitting right on it,
I seem to have a mistletoe stuck
in my right front pocket
(patting his right front pocket...gently)

I put it in there, to hang wherever
(opening his arms wide)
To steal all the kisses from my dear Mrs. Santa

But then I tried to place it up there
(pointing over head)
and I think it got hooked on my underwear!
(...cheeks turning red)

So if you could,
So, if you please...( Begging...)
Could you possibly reach in
with your hand?... oh please!
(Making some room and still begging!)

Unstuck my kisses
from my winter ole' knickers
I promise I’ll make sure, and give you back...
an extra special present from inside my sac
(showing him her sac)

So the little Spanish dish
did exactly just that
freed up his plant
Then bid him "Feliz Navidad!"
(waving and smiling and skipping away...)

Come Christmas morning
She couldn’t wait to see...(rubbing her eyes...)
her special extra present
that ole’ Nick duly promised she
(searching aimlessly...)

Well there under the tree
she couldn’t believe her eyes!
(opening them wider and wider...)
Tricky ole’ Nick...
Awe! he came through even more...
For that extra special present was a

muérdago
extractor
( getting out the Spanish/ English dictionary)

HO! HO! HO!
Merry Christmas!

Tricky 'ole Nick? Now why does my free roaming mind prompt me to think Tricky Dicky (Nixon)? Y'see, one side of me wants to get into the spirit of this poem, but the eccentric part of me drags me back to Nixon and Mao! Help!!!!!

You saw Mommy doing what with Santa Claus underneath the mistletoe last night? No wonder Santa is so jolly.
