Nicely written, and I like the repetition. It not only draws attention to your key line but gives one reason to think about the possibilites of your statement.

Hope is intricately woven within our dreams and desires and should always stay active as otherwise life will not find a way out to overcome difficulties. Great poem, Kimmy ans happy new year to you

Oh, this one is so neat, Kimmy! Ain't it the truth? We have our wishes, our druthers, our hopes, our dreams, and we have no patience at all! We remind me of a poster I saw. There were these two vultures perched on a branch. One of them turns to the other and says, "To hell with patience -- let's go kill something!" Giggle!

I sure can relate to this Kimmy.

For me though I think that it is my patience that is most antsy, fidgety, fretful and itchy. Never seems to stay on track. Happy New Year Poet! Blessings to your WHOLE family!

Hope is restless...for we are usually hoping for something even from the days of youth when we hoped for a puppy, bicycle, or new doll, to teen years when we hoped for a boyfriend, popularity, and then we advance to the hope of a person whom we can share our life with, the hope of children, health, happiness, grandchildren, longevity...peace and eternal happiness...I guess life is actually restless, but occasionally we can take the time to drift away from the hopes, cares, and restlessness of our lives and slip into a little quiet nook of our world and grab some quiet time where cares disappear if only for a moment...enjoyed this so much this early morning...

Wonderfully structured poem, Kimmy. Completely unique and good use of repetition of "hope is restless". I think this is a very good piece.
