Cute poetic spin on something most of us hate, especially the guys Lynn. Your poems are honest and fit right into life. You're right about that parent thing, but it is a force hard to defeat, especially when you;re young. I handle it better now in my old age. G

When 16 my 2nd job was washing dishes for a diner...
My teenagers wash dishes here, or no allowance..

Lynn, I can think of a lot of ways I might go out at the end, but I promise you, washing dishes isn't going to be one of them! lol I enjoyed your write.

Don't ask for that...I have been running a mom and pop diner and waitress and do dishes 40 hours a week...don't ask for it...that is why I wrote this...I had a dish washing nightmare!

I use paper plates, no more clean up, just drop em in the trash...no chance to drown in soapy scummy water...LOL! ed

It does seem at times, that washing dishes is a 24-7 job... man, what a way to go...
