I met you on Myspace
Some told me not to go
I did it any way
And there was no TV show
Waiting to capture
Our meeting on tape
We were who we were
And no one arrived late
We joked about the
Possibility of not
Being who we thought we were
And what we would have done
Run the other way in a blur?
Over 50, a meeting is risky
In this age of reality TV
But a good lunch and
A new friend made is nifty
Next time husbands
Will come with, for sure
I think that if they were a pen pal instead of a person we met online, no one would think it was odd or even scary for that matter. I guess it is just that with the vast numbers of people on the net, the number of crazy or misleaning people also goes up. Cute poem, Lynn.
Take care,
Sherry
