At this time
I must remind
Myself to save the soap
That I find
In a sliver and often toss away
All those slivers could make a bar someday
Why am I telling you this at this time of year
Because I want to save something and it's near
The end of the twelve months
And what have I to show
A silly little poem
With a save the soap hello
SAVE YOUR SANITY...don't be so serious, take time to be...SILLY!
I used to save the slivers of beautiful soaps supplied to our guests at my Inn~ then I would take them over to the homeless shelter for their guests to use...they loved it! I just couldn't see them go to waste...

I used to have a little thing to make a new bar of soap out of all the leftover pieces...I wonder what ever happened to that..it was kind of cool, because you got a bar of mixed colors and textures. Cute poem, Lynn.
Take care,

I once had a sliver of soap
That hung from a long skinny rope
As I take my shower
It loses its power
Now I grope for my soap and get rope
