I jumped up and down
Stuck out my tongue
Laughed like a hyena
Trying to;
Get him out
Of his bad mood
And onto something
Brand new.

But not a smile
Or a snicker
Did he emit
Boo hoo hoo

Mother tried,
Mother failed
What's a mother
To do?

Let him mope
Let him stew
Let him find
His own
Way through.

Left alone
He got busy
Looking at
Photos and soon
He started smiling
He wasn't gloomy
He wasn't bored
