When it is time
To turn the clock
It always does
Confuse me
Fall back, yes
And Spring ahead
It drives me insane
Does it, you?
People arriving
Late to church
And some arriving
Early
Do we really need
To turn our
Clocks and get so surly?
Let's call the
Politicians
And tell them
That we protest
To turning back
The clocks and
See what happens
See what's next
Probably nothing
Probably no clue
That it bugs us
And is annoying
Us, too
So turn back
And turn ahead
We'll keep doing
Our best
To remember
To save light
Or lose light
It still means no rest
For the average Joe
And Jane and Raoul
Why didn't we learn
How to do this in school
Turning the tick tock
Life one oh what?
Are we moving forward
Or stuck in a rut?

Geez I hate all this fallback and spring ahead. Not only is it annoying that it always occurs in the middle of the night BUT it always seems I get stuck working both time YEGAWDS what a double fright!!!!(I work 11p to 7a)

AMEN, Lynn. I hate daylight savings. Really, there will be just as many hours of daylight, whether we set the clock forward or not. I wish they'd just leave time alone. Even God had something to say about it: they turn day into night and night into day. Very well written, my friend, clearly reveals the frustration of daylight savings.

LOL---I NEVER get used to it. Try going to Europe for a month... that's 7 hours that I lost in a day...LOL! The kids in bed earlier --lol ... And work...uuuuugh that first Monday is ALWAYS the hardest! Makes you want to be back in bed when you go in and see the clocks still all left with your extra hour on it! LOL... Fine work :)
